One of the earliest settlers of virgin land at East Kondut. Worked extremely hard. Nothing could have prepared him for the harshness and setbacks he experienced. Married Ida Waterson in Albany in 1914. Had 5 children. Died in 1921, aged 39. Son, Gordon purchased farm from mother 1952.
