The family travelled six weeks by ship via Capetown - 8 children ranging 6 months to 20 years old. They arrived in Albany May 1924. Transported to Denmark by train & stayed overnight. Proceeded to Tingledale by truck for accommodation in tents to await allotted land to build homes.
