Grandma travelled to Fremantle alone, aged 16 and went into service with the Leake and Kelsall Families. She married James Mather, a Foreman Coachbuilder & had 5 sons, Frank, Norman, Bruce, Douglas and Alan. She was founder of Trinity Lunchroom and active in Women's Temperance Union.
