Mum & Dad listed themselves as Ukranian for fear of their lives. They were given a list of places the could go & chose Mt Magnet because it showed a river on the map. They got a big shock when they arrived to find a dry bed. When they finished working & paying back their passage they went to Mullewa, then onto Geraldton. Dad worked as an Electrician with the railways. Mum & Dad took about two years to pay back the government.
