Charlie, a keen gardener & Grace, an accomplished cook & home maker, built a home in Cannington. They later returned to Mt Lawley & retired to Swan Cottages. Charlie was involved in the erection of many buildings & landmarks in Perth, such as the Narrows Bridge & Kings Park lookout.
