Joe & Mia Streppel left Holland to seek a better future. They had 3 boys to think of. Joe was a carpenter in his home town & became a builder in Moora. The family were to go to Melbourne first so he could work his trade, but there was more to do here in WA. They were never sorry about that decision.

  • So this is my family! Opa was Joe streppel, who I never met as he’d passed away before I was born. My dad was the youngest of their three boys - lambertus. I named my son Joseph Streppel, to recognise my father whose middle name was Joseph (because let’s be honest, I wasn’t going to call him lambertus!). The only remaining member of the Streppels who emigrated to Perth is Tony.
