The family rowed up the Swan River from Fremantle to Perth & landed at Spring Street. George bought a block of land in Murray Street for 2/6. George & Rachel lived there until they died & are buried in East Perth Cemetery. Sons, John, Carey & William were farmers at Greenough in the 1860's.
