Lena immigrated to marry Mihali Koiov. She raised three boys working on their Manjimup bean farm. Lena lived closely with her husbands family and the Macedonian community but was separated from her parents and siblings who moved to Melbourne. The family moved to Perth for more opportunities for the children.
