Persuaded to migrate to WA by Group Settlement Scheme promoting farming opportunities, which was considered as giving a better future for the family. Harsh living. Few returns and health failure caused retirement in 1937 to a busy civic life in Denmark. There are now 50 plus descendants scattered over Australia.
