Emanuele Squarcini was born as Emanuele Aldisquarcina. He and his family came from Tresivio-Sondrio, Italy. He came to Australia to join his father & brother. He first settled in the Margaret River region where he cut sleepers for the railways with his brother Pietro. He later went to Carnarvon & was employed by Mr Jackman on his sheepstation 'Callagiddy' as a jackeroo & later rose to the position of Manager. He married Rosina Paini in 1940.
