When Giuseppe first arrived in Perth in 1956 he commenced working in Wagin. In 1962 he went back to Italy and in 1963 was married. In 1965 he returned to Perth and worked in the Northwest Cape as a pipefitter for 18 months. In 1967 he was joined by his wife Maria and daughter Antonella who was 2 years of age. In 1967 he commenced working as a delivery man for Pisconeri Wholesalers and later as a salesman. He continued to work for Pisconeri until he retired.
