Deported to Siberia in 1940 with mother and five sisters. Put in orphanage in Kirgistan. Reunited with family in Pahlevi, Iran. Eventually spent eight years in Displaced Persons camps in Africa before arriving in Western Australia. First settled in Bunbury. Married Pamela Pedretti. Had two daughters, Denise and Pauleen. Now lives in Perth.
