10th of February 1940 will stay in our memories forever. At dawn a widowed mother of six: Stefania, Wanda, Urszula, Franciszek, Jadwiga and Janina were deported to Siberia for no other reason than just being Polish. After two years of hunger, cold and disease, thanks to General Sikorski, we fled Russia, through Persia, India and Africa. On 14/02/1950 we arrived in Fremantle. Australia became our home.
