Joined their only child Margaret Smith, in West Perth, under Assisted Passage Migration. In 1968 they bought their Morley home. Frequent letters were his only contact with loved ones in England for almost 30 years. Shortly before Leo died he visited family in the UK. With Gladys for 60 years.
