Isaac was discharged from the British Army in 1858 and was admitted as a Chelsea Pensioner residing in Belfast, Ireland, until he and the family emigrated to WA, where he was in the Enrolled Pensioner Force until it's disbandment in 1887. The family lived in the Barracks, St George's Terrace, Perth.
