Eveleen's husband, Henry, died Oct 1904. There were four children aged 4 to 14 years. The firm for which Henry worked paid for Eveleen to have Nurse's Training. In Perth, she worked with mothers and newborn babies. For a time, she was matron at Port Hedland Hospital.
