French Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Apparition invited by Bishop Serra to come to teach. Sisters, Julie Cabagniol (25), Lucie Fieuzet (44), Zoe de Chamouin (19) & Emilie Petit (19) opened their first school in Fremantle July 1st, 1855. Sisters Julie & Zoe opened a school in Albany in1878.

    I am trying to remember the name of a nun who taught Music at St Joseph's Convent in 1955. She was tiny in stature, a bit hunched and very very strict. Her teaching room was on the ground floor at the back of the convent, overlooking the primary students' playground.

  • I dont know if this is the correct site.
    I am trying to source images of Saint Patricks primary school in Carey Street in what was South Perth and is now Kensington. The school changed name sometime in the fifties to Holy Cross. I have searched and searched and cant believe this little Parish school is of such unimportance that there is not one image. It was run by the Sisters of St Joseph attached to Saint Colubas in South perth
