Peter's first job was at the Cray fishing plant in Cervantes. There was only a sand track past Yanchep in the early fifties. He travelled to Cervantes by motorbike with 'Big Red Boomers' for company. Jenny went shopping for cornflour. She knew there was a bird on the packet, but came home with Robin starch instead of Rosella cornflour! Peter, a Business Administrator, worked at the Midland Railway Workshops as a Fitter TA. Jenny was a seamstress in Esy Fit Clothing Factory. Nelly, Mary, Connie and Pauline all attended local state schools and later worked in secretarial positions. All married, there are 12 grandchildren.
