Barica was born in Vlašić Brdo, Kostanjevac, to parents Janko Vlašić & Roza Vlašić. Went to Germany (1965) where she met Stjepan Simich and they married (1968) in Bonegilla, Victoria. They have four daughters, Anna, Katica, Rozmarin and Kristina. Barica worked hard all her life and is proud to be an Australian citizen.
