12/11/1970 Carmelo was made a Cavaliere Del Ordine Di Vittorio Veneto by the president of the Republic Capo Dell' Oroine De Vittorio Veneto. Cavaliera Carmelo Silla & his family have had a wonderful life in this country. While he loved Sicily he never returned saying that Australia was his chosen country.
