Jaroslaw known as Charles was part of the Polish Wartime Resistance, captured by the Gestapo and sent to Auschwitz and survived. After the war, he ended up at university in Germany, married and emigrated to Perth as displaced persons. He completed UWA in 1964 and rose to the role of Chief Technical Officer for CBH the grain handlers after a career of 33 years, then retired.
