Left London 27/12/1912, arrived Fremantle 1/02/1913 with older brother John Cecil enlisted in 1915 in 11th Batlalion and trained at Blackboy Hill camp near Northam. Embarked from Albany to Gallipoli and then to the Somme. Hit by shrapnel in head and had eye removed. Discharged 1917. Rreturned to WA to farm at East Pingelly.
