Engineer & architect, built a horse mill at Fremantle in 1830/1 in which he ground the colony's first wheat, while hand-writing an early newspaper. He established the 'Old Mill' at South Perth in 1835. Architect of Samson's Fremantle office & their Perth residence. Married Jessica Cameron in 1841.

This page shows WK Shenton born in 1842, but that is wrong. That was the year of his death (by drowning). He was born in 1803.
