Left ship in Fremantle with friends. Enjoyed the spirit & goodwill of Fremantle & missed the boat, so made the best of it. Found work & a year later sponsored out fiancee Elsie Goodwin. Married in Bridgetown on 2/6/1950. They had 5 children, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren & growing. Thank you from your loving family.

  • I enjoyed reading this about my Uncle Sam, only got to see him when he came to Perth Scotland to visit his brother, my Grandad and Granny. Would love to get in touch with the rest of the family. Xxx
