Frank Shaw aged 16 April 1940. Registered in London as Mess Boy on the merchant ship 'Coya'. Aged 18 Cabin Boy - SS Hollinside. When 20 he was a Galley Boy - MV Brasil. Voyages included pickup and delivery of cargo in USA, North Africa, Suez and the Mediterranean - rescue ship to RMS Accra. Discharged Fremantle Jan 1944. Joined RAAF.
