Emilie married Thomas Blundell-Wignall on August 10th, 1916 in Perth's Trinity Church. At her first confinement, Dixie Clement commented, " she is an English Rose". Emilie died in 1927, leaving eight healthy little sandgropers, the eldest 10yrs, the baby 1yr. Her diary records “we may not be too prim and nice, there is no good without its price”.
