His parents were Needham Shannon (from Northern Ireland) & Muriel Shannon (nee Taylor). Had a sister Elizabeth. Enjoyed cricket, photography, reading, collecting stamps & china. Worked in Merchant Navy & confectionary trade. Had own business, Kwinana Carpet Cleaning. He died 27/9/2005 & is buried in Rockingham East Cemetery.
