Aldis can remember leaving with his family from Valmiera Latvia in a convoy of ships from Riga to Hamburg then through Germany living in camps. Departing from Bagnoli camp in Italy sailing from Naples 14/03/1949. They made their home in Northam. Father worked W.A.G.R., mother - artist - a painter.
