  • While researching British civilian internees in the Philippines, I came across Michael Seats' account, "I was Torpedoed," which appeared in the July 1943 issue of "Boy's Life" magazine. The article can be read at https://books.google.com/books?id=Gm_oksLHwVEC&pg=PA10&lpg=PA10&dq=micha.... I also found, and have attached, the passenger list for the ship which rescued rescued him in 1942 and brought him back to the U.S. He had quite the adventure!
