Olwen was elected to Council in the City of Gosnells 1979 -2009 & served as Mayor. Became a JP & taught from 1979 - 2007. Arthur owned & operated his own concrete truck business. Worked for Pioneer Concrete for many years.

I was at school with Olwen, still live in County Durham, and am still in contact with several others.

Olwen was my teacher at Beckingham primary school back in the 80s. Broke my arm at school and she was excellent at looking after me. She's the reason I know so much about Julius Caesar , Florence Nightingale, Winston Churchill, Artilla the Hunn and others. HEART OF GOLD we should all aspire to.
