Ian sailed to Fremantle with his mother, Amelia (Beth), and older brother, Colin. They were overjoyed to be reunited with their father/ husband, Tom (Val), who arrived 6 months earlier to prepare a new life for his family in this wonderful country. Ian is the only surviving family member.
