In 1838, John blazed a trail to Bunbury to find good farming land for Governor Stirling. His wife Ellen (Helen) was a midwife & attended the birth of Lord Forrest. In 1847 John & a son built the Picton Church. John & Helen (Ellen) had two sons, William Frederick b.1821 in Scotland & Daniel McGregor b.1815, died 1898.

The scott family of Western Australia are my desentents on my mother's side her family name is pyane, my mother's is Lila Mary pyane
