John Scott born Hamilton, Scotland 1796 & wife Helen (nee Forrest) arrived Fremantle March 5th 1831 aboard Eliza. Worked with Governor James Stirling at Guildford (plaque at Perth Airport). Later farmed at Australind. WA's first farmer & agriculturalist. Died1880 Bunbury. Burial plot at St Marks Church, Picton. Son, Robert Scott, first in area to speak Aboriginal language.
