John & Helen Scott farmed 100 acres at Guildford where they tended Governor Stirling's bloodstock horses. Perth airport is now on this land and there is a plaque in remembrance to John Scott. Helen Scott was midwife when Lord John Forrest was born. He was born at Eelup now Mill Point where the first windmill was built.
