Michele Sciascia arrived in Fremantle in 1938 in search of work. Money was sent back to Italy to support his family. He was interned during 1940-1945. After WWII he became naturalised & saved fares to bring his wife Giuseppina, son Luigi, daughter-in-law Bice, 2 grandchildren and another son Antonio and daughter Minucia to live in Australia.
