Johann escaped from Poland before the war. Was in Germany during war and met Thekla. They married, 1946 and migrated to Perth 1950. Johann was a mechanic and Thekla had home duties including growing vegetables and poultry. Had two children, Margaret and Maria and 7 grandchildren.
