Read their story

Having survived the war years in occupied Holland, the Schoen family came to Australia to create a better future. They succeeded admirably; the three sons marrying Australian girls. A Nissen hut in what is now Ferndale was their first house, before building their own. Kalamunda residents for may years, they retired happily to Forrestfield in 2002.
