Read their story

I was 9 years old when we arrived in Fremantle, with mum, dad & young brother. It was 8pm, 25th June 1954 on mum's 35th birthday. When we docked we disembarked the following morning & boarded a bus for Northam Immigration Camp (old army camp). After 2 months we settled in Perth. We are still here (2006) except dad, Willem, who passed in 1980.
