Imperial Prisoner No 1. Convicted of sheep stealing in Leicester UK. Sentenced to 15 years transportation. Earned ticket of leave 1851. Was baptised and changed his name to Joseph Samuel Thompson. Married Honora Mulgrady (?) in same year. Fathered six children. Earned conditional pardon 08/07/1854. Died 1862, Fremantle. Buried St Patrick's Cemetery.

  • Samuel was convicted with my gg grandfather William Branson with stealing a sheep with the intent of rendering it into a carcass. They shared the same abode in Leicestershire. I would love to hear from any of Samuels descendants
