Thomas worked at his trade Carpenter/Cabinetmaker. Made furniture for Gov't House. 1852 married Harriet Sophie Gibbs in Perth. They had 3 sons. In 1865 Harriet and child died giving birth to a daughter. 1856 Thomas and his brother-in-law Henry Gibbs bought Canning Lot 31 and applied for a Wayside Licence which was granted in 1857. Thomas became first licensee of Ye Olde Narrogin Inn. 1818 - second wife Elizabeth Gibbs. 1869 - Elizabeth & child died in childbirth. In later life, married his housekeeper, Matilda Nash.
