The Sanderson family increased shortly after their arrival. William (Bill) was born in February 1912, then later Helen Betsy born 1919 and Vera Jean born 1925. Wiliam (Snr) worked as a pastry cook and Margaret worked as a midwife. Margaret's uncle, Will Patullo and his family had already settled in Fremantle.
