Hugh worked as Electrical Supervisor for WA Govt. Both he and Agnes (better known as Nan) were keen golfers with Nan awarded life membership for service to Rockingham Golf Club. Hugh was an excellent singer and performed with the Albany Light Opera Co. They lived in Rockingham for over 30 years.
