Edward Saint, hoping to make a better life arrived as an assisted migrant in Fremantle in 1908. He undertook various occupations , fought in France 1916-18. Returned to West Australia and bought a farm property at Bowgada (Perenjori). He married Eliza Knight of Koolanocka (Morawa) became a successful farmer.
