Arriving on his own Marko had left his entire family in Croatia. His son joined him 2 years later, followed by his wife, youngest son and daughter. His 2 eldest children remained in Croatia. Working firstly in Byford he later settled with his family in Spearwood, working a market garden. Marko & Teresa moved to Naval Base for 10 years then returned to Spearwood. Marko died peacefully in 1991.
