Left the port of Messina on the AUSTRALIA to join her husband Tindaro Russo who had arrived in WA four years earlier, to establish a home for his family. Maria Russo made for the trip with her two children Clelia Russo (then 11) and Nicola Russo (then 4). The trip on the AUSTRLIA was approximately 18 days.
