The Rumpff's moved from Germany to London in the 1840's, adopting the name Rumford in the 1900s. In 1925 following his father's death, Godfrey Alexander, mother Ada, brother Noel, nephew Derek & Ella Mansfield sailed for Australia. Godfrey married Phyllis Fawkes, raising children Trudie, Kim & Ian in Victoria Park.
