Alma Ruitenburg b. 31/12/1953 in Australia, second daughter for the Ruitenburg Family. Family returned to the Netherlands on the P & O steamer, Oriana? Sept/Oct 1957, missed extended family and the Perth summers were too hot for Gysbertus who was selling Dutch bisuits door-to-door. Both Ruitenburg and Groenendijk families decided to come to Western Australia together and the choice derived from flipping coins in Holland.
