Mr & Mrs Rossi settled in Bassendean and had a daughter born 6 Oct 1956. Operated a grocery store in the 1960's. Built the Bassendean Shopping Centre in 1971 and established Bassendean Liquor Store 1973. In 1988 a plaque bearing the name Rino Rossi was laid on the Heritage Walk (cnr West Rd and Villiers St Bassendean) in recognition of the contributions he made to Bassendean District.
