Wounded in WWI in France aged 17. Came to WA - Soldier Settlement Scheme. Granted land. Too difficult to farm. Worked on railway to Kalgoorlie. Settled in Perth. Became a mechanic (Perth Tech). Had own garage in East Perth for 30yrs. Retired at 68yrs. Married twice, two children. Always known as “Jeff”.
