Jacobus & Petronella Rooijackers immigrated from the Netherlands to Australia with their two young daughters Johanna (2) and Jacoba (1) for a better life and future. They landed in Fremantle on 1 October 1953 and moved to Broomhill near Katanning. Jack and Nelli then moved to NSW and had another daughter Hanny. The family eventually settled permanently in NSW and later on Jack and Nellie retired on the Mid North Coast.
